Your Birth

There isn’t a moment in life more precious than bringing a baby into the world.

 The journey for both you and your baby are so special and create a bond like no other. Becoming a parent and laying eyes on your perfect little human for the first time is one to never forget and although you won’t ever forget, having photos that document every detail of your little loves arrival will be something to look back on forever.

 The experience of birthing a baby is unique to you. All the emotion, strength and hard work both physically and mentally to birth your bundle of joy is your story and something I am honoured to capture and be part of.

 As your birth photographer I am available for both hospital (vaginal and c-section) and home births if you wish. The package cost is $1500 which includes full coverage of active labour (once contractions start), birthing and the first 2 hours after your baby has arrived to capture baby’s first feed, weighing and those initial moments in the newborn bubble. You will receive approximately 150 edited high resolution photographs on a custom USB along with a video slideshow with accompanying music.

 To get to know each other the package also includes two face to face meetings before your due date. The first when you make the booking (after 12 weeks) and the second at around 36 weeks to discuss the details of the pending birth and your plans. Over the final few weeks I will stay in contact with you via text and from 38 weeks, I will be on call 24/7. If you were to go into labour prior to 38 weeks, I will still do my best to attend and photograph your birth and if for some reason I miss your birth, I will attend the hospital or your home within 48 hours to capture your newborn bonding with you, your partner and other family members. If this isn’t an option, a newborn studio session can be organised or a full refund can be requested.

 It is essential that you communicate with your OB or midwife that you plan to have a birth photographer present so they are well aware of your wishes. If you are scheduled to have a c-section, I like to gain approval from your OB and their team prior to the day. However sometimes things don’t always go to plan and if circumstances change and I am no longer allowed in theatre, I will photograph up to this point and then hand my camera over to your birth partner or nurse/ midwife to capture the birth for us.

A $500 deposit is required to secure your booking and the remainder when you receive your photographs within a month of delivery. You will receive a sneak peak video slideshow within a few days of birth.
